This will be a true confession. I don't know much about Peyton and Eli Manning, so I decided to investigate.
Archie Manning who viewed his son, Eli Manning's stellar quarterback performance last night in the New York Giants Green Bay Packers game, was also a pro quarterback. No wonder the sons are so talented! Archie was selected in the NFL draft by the New Orleans Saints in 1971. He played for 13 years, completing 2,011 of 3,642 passes for 23,911 yards and 125 touchdowns, with 173 interceptions.
Son Peyton Manning is the current quarterback of the Indianapolis Colts and was the selection in the 1998 NFL Draft. He attended the University of Tennessee and is the current record holder for the most touchdowns in one season and has the highest passer rating. He led the Indianapolis Colts to a 27-17 victory over the Chicago Bears at Super Bowl XLI on February 4, 2007. He also won the Super Bowl MVP award.
Now we come to Eli Manning who is the starting quarterback for the New York Giants and the first overall selection in the 2004 NFL Draft. Like his father he attended Ole Miss and played as the Rebels starting quarterback.
Well we see Eli Manning just cannot be left out1 He is on his way to Super Bowl XLII on February 3, 2008. Unbelievable family!
